PERRY (REALISTIC YOUNG GRIZZLY BEAR)
Followers of Bear Bits will be familiar with our constant problem of finding natural coloured, plain dense pile suitable for our natural looking bears; they may also remember our award winning Peter (2012/2013). While at Teddy Bear Welt in March Jean found some similar fabric so Perry is Peterís cousin - Perry is similar but different! Perry is beautifully proportioned and made from super-dense Schulte faux with an inset mohair muzzle; where the two fabrics meet they are blended together with airbrushed shading (also used on his feet). He has brown glass eyes, quilted 3D polymer pads (on ultrasuede) and his gentle just-open mouth is combined with a complex, naturally shaped embroidered nose that has been embroidered with very fine thread in order to produce the detailed shape. His muzzle, paws and feet have each been carefully trimmed with scissor sculpting to produce a natural shape in the fur. A combination of 8 disk joints (2 in neck, 1 in each wrist) together with a neck-to-tail backbone (armature) allows for diverse poses. Our bears have evolved from the teddy; they look more natural but never fierce and he will make a good companion.
