HARE WINNER OF CLASS 7 - NATIONAL TEDDY BEAR ARTISTS AWARDS 2012
This Hare is made from a large number of different fabrics, the main one of which is a 30mm Schulte natural coloured faux fur contrasting with a 30mm white mohair for his chest and tail, and18mm dark gold mohair for his paws, all of which have 3D pads on ultrasuede. His head is made from a 12mm dark brown and 12mm beige mohair, combined with short pile ivory alpaca and dark gold 18mm mohair for each side. His nose has been covered with very short pile dark brown mohair and ivory wool felt has been used for the inner ears. His ears, made from 18mm dense brown mohair and ivory felt are wired. It is possible to alter their position but when doing so, each one should be supported near the head, with the fingers of one hand while the other one gently adjusts the shape. Many of his features have subtle airbrushed shading. The Hare has large dark brown eyes in eyelids. He has a total of 8 joints (2 in the neck and one in each wrist) and he will sit and stand in a variety of positions, including a “boxing” pose.
