SOX
Every so often you have a germ of an idea, have a little experiment and it works. If you’re lucky the result is even better than you thought it would be! Sox started life as an experiment. We’ve been making bears with wrist (even ankle joints occasionally) for years now so it was fairly easy to investigate how it would look if I used a much shorter pile fabric for the paws and feet but he was never meant to be an “edition” bear. Some bears struggle into creation, and you encounter problem after problem; others almost rush into “being”, full of personality, and Sox is one of the latter. He’s made in 20mm beige alpaca and I’ve used contrasting short pile brown alpaca for the paws, feet, nose and inner ears. He has 3D needle sculpted pads, a black realistically embroidered nose, black glass eyes and lots of airbrushed shading – including his tail! With the classic 8 joints of all Bear Bits bear you can pose him in a variety of ways.
