CONFUCIUS (LARGE REALISTIC PANDA - STANDS 24IN (60 CM))
We can only make our very largest bears when the right length pile becomes available and (thanks to Bear Basics) this superb Schulte fabric just has! This wonderful big panda is made from 30mm dense ivory and black mohair, which both looks and feels superb. Confucius is very detailed and has many characteristics of a real panda. His eye patches are sewn in to the side headpiece before the head is sewn and mohair pile has been trimmed to give him a beautifully shaped muzzle and his intricately embroidered nose is based on the shape of a real panda. The black marking on a panda’s body is narrower on their back than it is on the front – and this too can be seen on Confucius’ body which is completed with a small tail; likewise, the black on a panda’s back legs does not go completely to the top. Confucius’ ears are shaped and sewn on to look like those of a real panda, which are very different from those of a bear – more tufted and upright! He has wrist joints leading to black ultrasuede paws with 3D and needle sculpted detail. Confucius is firmly stuffed with a mixture of polyester and wood wool (excelsior) and his body contains 2 growlers so he will make himself heard whether tipped onto his front or back.
