IC'CLE (REALISTIC POLAR BEAR CUB STANDS 10IN (25CM))
The pattern for has been developed from scratch – but naturally with all the experience from our other designs. The majority of the work has been on improving the proportions between the different bits – the size of the head in relationship to the body; the size of the paws when compared to the limbs and the head. The name is derived from Icicle and is also a play on the pet term “ickle” (baby speak corruption of little)! This little polar bear is made using dense ivory alpaca with a bit of subtle air brushed shading around the extremities. Ic’cle’s paws are really slim – she has needle-sculpted ivory ultrasuede pads for further definition and these also have some printed detail. There are small magnets in each front paw and her chin so that she can link paws and also paw to chin. Additionally, she has 6 joints, 2 being used for a double neck joint. Ic’cles shoulder joints are attached so that they move easily whilst hip joints are traditionally firm. Her head and limbs are firmly stuffed with polyester but her body is quite loosely filled with recycled polypellets so that there is enough flexibility to get her toe to her chin. When this flexibility is combined with the double neck joint it means that Ic’cle can be placed in a huge variety of positions, guaranteed to make you smile!
